About Us

The Lit is Choate's oldest independent publication. We publish anything creative, from poetry and short fiction to visual art, music, and videos, in one issue per term. Unlike all other publications, our masthead doesn't choose which submissions make the cut—everyone on our email list does.

Each term we host a huge Launch Party with lots of food, entertainment, and not-so-surprising cameos from major a cappella groups on campus.

We also host meetings every other Thursday at 630 in the Project Room. Join us for chill blackout poetry, hype tie-dye sessions before Deerfield Day, and more fun artistic activities.
